Paralisia Cerebral é uma condição que danifica as áreas do cérebro que controlam a movimentação e postura da pessoa. Essa lesão pode ocorrer antes, durante ou depois do parto, devido a atraso da chegada de oxigênio no cérebro. Essa deficiência pode não ter sinais visíveis, ou pode causar falta de controle dos movimentos da face e de membros, além de dificuldades na fala. Outras causas podem acarretar em uma sequela de ordem cerebral, como um AVC (acidente vascular cerebral) ou mesmo um traumatismo craniano.
